Alan & Co is a Belgian family business, established in 1980 in Verviers (Belgium), a city with a long history of textile production. Our reputation in the dental and medical manufacturing industry is based on many years’ experience. Initially specialized in dental products, we quickly diversified into the medical sector, which now represents 70% of our turnover.

Alan & Co works from the reception of containers of cotton bales through to the finished product. Our flexibility enables us to produce small or large quantities under either the Alan brand name or a ‘private label’, including special products, and to organize the carriage and official paperwork, whatever the final destination of your order.

Our customers are importers and/or distributors, who sell our products throughout the world, in hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, dental and veterinary clinics, beauty treatment centres and hairdressers. We never sell directly to final users so as not to compete with our customers

40 years of experience

1980

Founding of the company in an old textile factory on the Quai de la Vesdre in Verviers.

2000

Acquisition of the company, which was only active in the dental sector, by the current owners, Anne Knott and Vincent Göbbels.

2011

Purchase of automatic medical production lines, which now represents more than 70% of turnover.

2016

Relocation to an industrial estate in Petit-Rechain, with 52,000 sqm of facilities.

Customized service

We are a family-run business offering flexibility and a single direct contact for all requests. We can produce under our own brand, or under private labels, without requiring large quantities. We are happy to adapt to special requests, and to organize transport and administrative paperwork, whatever the final destination.

Export

As the only Belgian manufacturer in this sector, ideally located near Antwerp, one of Europe’s largest ports, we export 98% of our turnover to over 60 different countries.

Eco-friendly

Our structures are equipped with photovoltaic panels producing 540 kWc for a total annual production of 486.000 kWh/an (this represents the annual consumption of 120 average households). These panels substitute at 100% roof and wall from our warehouse. Alan&Co use recycled cotton and recyclable materials, sort the waste and make every effort to reduce our carbon footprint by producing in Belgium. We also have beehives and a permaculture installation on our site !
